Worship Services

  • The worship service is an upbeat, traditional format.  It is informal and yet reverent.  Communion (The Lord's Supper)is celebrated weekly and is open to all.

  • Nursery Care is available during Sunday School and the Worship Service. Infants and toddlers are also welcome to be in the Worship Service with parents. It is your choice.

  • Children are invited to be in the worship service and to share in a "Children's Moment" early in the worship service. Following the Children's Moment the children through 3rd grade are invited to go to a Children's Church and enjoy age appropriate lessons and activities.

We have one worship service on Sunday mornings beginning at 10:45 following the 9:30 Sunday School time.

We Hope You Will Join Us For Worship!

Our worship service is upbeat and relevant for "today" while following a traditional format and structure: welcome, call to worship, invocation, praise hymn, scripture readings, pastoral prayer and Lord's prayer, children's message, musical offering/special music, Gospel scripture reading, sermon, offering hymn, offering opportunity, time of Communion (remembering and participating in The Lord's Supper), closing and  benediction.

Communion is celebrated and served every service.

Our worship services are characterized by the active participation of lay ministers. Each service includes deacons who collect the offering and serve communion, elders who read scripture and lead the communion and music from the choir or individuals. The minister provides the pastoral prayer, scripture reading, sermon, words of institution and benediction.

A variety of music is performed and sung with contemporary as well as old favorite hymns being sung on a regular basis.

We have special worship services throughout the year such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Christmas Eve, Sing-along(s)/Sing Fest(s) and Taize services. The special services provide alternative approaches to worship.

The Ash Wednesday service for example, is a short service to spiritually prepare us for the season of Lent and the journey toward the cross and Easter.

Maundy-Thursday / Tenebrae service happens during Holy Week and prepares us for Easter. The service remembers the Last Supper with the Disciples in the Upper Room, and it recalls the events and feelings of the betrayal, desertion, trial, and crusifixion of our Lord.

During the summer we have the special Sing-along services that are geared around singing favorite hymns and songs.

Taize services are spiritual and meditative services.

The Christmas Eve service brings the church together for a sincere remembrance of the reason for the season highlighted with special communion and the passing of the light of Christ using candles.
